Eligibility: anyone with Parkinsons or anyone who is a caregiver of someone with Parkinsons - or a professional in the field with direct experience with dealing with people with Parkinson's: such as medical, physical therapy, psychology, nursing homes, etc.
Topic: Living with Parkinson's
Length: 1500 to 2000 words in .doc or .rtf formats
If communication through writing is prohibitive, then video or audio essays are acceptable formats.
Judged by a panel of people qualified to evaluate written essays chosen by the Board of Directors of Summit for Parkinson's.
Deadline: no deadline - accumulated essays will be reviewed quarterly by the panel of judges, with the annual winner granted $100 and each quarter that essay featured on the Summit for Parkinson's website.
